We’re excited to share that Ace has teamed up with Ronin Tactics founder Tu Lam to launch a brand-new VR training stage: “Urban Defense.” This partnership brings elite-level tactical experience directly into your hands via the Ace Virtual Reality platform.
Who is Tu Lam?
Born in 1974 in Saigon amid the upheaval of war, Tu Lam’s journey to becoming one of the most credible names in tactical training is one of grit, purpose, and evolution. After his family escaped Vietnam and settled in the U.S., he was raised near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, immersed in a military environment from a young age.
At 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, pressed into infantry and reconnaissance training, and later entered Special Forces. Over his 23-year career (retiring in 2016 as a Master Sergeant) he deployed across more than 20 countries, including conflict zones and counter-terrorism operations.
Post-military, Tu founded Ronin Tactics, a training and gear firm grounded in his real-world experience. He also channels the ancient warrior code of bushidō and the mindset of the samurai, blending physical skill, mental discipline, and moral clarity.
